    I’ve been writing for the web since 2007, when I became one of the first regular contributors to Glamour magazine’s beauty blog. I’ve since covered celebrity beauty trends, industry shifts and explored the evolution of beauty and culture for sites such as Vogue.com, T Magazine, Style.com, Allure.com, Refinery 29 and Huffington Post. Over the last ten years, I’ve learned a thing or two about SEO, crafting clicky headlines and making keen, share-worthy observations about whatever is #trending in the beauty world.

    From 2007 to 2011, I was on staff at Glamour magazine as a Beauty Writer-Editor and Senior Beauty Editor. Previously, I served as Beauty Editor for Vibe Vixen, a spin-off of the iconic music publication Vibe and Associate Beauty Editor for Suede, a multicultural fashion and beauty magazine that was way ahead of its time.  As a freelancer, my byline has appeared in Essence, Marie Claire, Brides, People StyleWatch and Health, among others.

    Writing provocative shade names and taglines for NARS, creating branded content for Unilever and L'Oréal and penning engaging trend reports for Maybelline are just a few of the ways I've used my editorial expertise to voice-up marketing and PR copy. I also worked as a freelance copywriter for DevaCurl from 2014 to 2017.  I wrote all product and category copy for DevaCurl.com, named new products and promotional sets and wrote up to 18 marketing emails per month, for an audience of 300K subscribers.
